Courteous Dandy's Attic / Ático de un Dandy Comedido

Today I would like to show you J D-B.'s attic.
I didn't know what name to use for the post and after some deliberation we both decided to name it Courteous Dandy's Attic.

J D-B. is a single young man that has had the graciousness to let us see his attic.

The first time I saw his attic I was very pleased with what he was able to achieve on his own.

He has good taste therefore it didn’t surprise me to see a job well done.

I think our Courteos Dandy was right on the money when he decided to buy his place and has chosen his decoration properly.

The great majority of blogs show spaces decorated by women so I decided to do somethings a different.  That it is why it seemed interesting to me to ask him to let me take photos of his flat to put them in my blog.

The house belonged to a family. The house was segregated into four flats and two attics.

His attic has a living room, dining room, kitchen, a master bedroom a guest room and a bathroom.

The views and the location are enviable. The proximity to the zones of leisure and  landscaped areas are with in walking distance.

Hoy voy a mostrarles el ático de J D-B.
No sabia que nombre darle a este post así que entre él y yo decidimos llamarle Ático de un Dandy Comedido.

J D-B. es un hombre joven soltero que ha tenido la gentileza de dejarnos ver su ático.

Cuando me enseño su ático por primera vez quede muy impresionada con lo que él había hecho por sí mismo.

Sé que tiene buen gusto así que no me sorprendió ver que había hecho un buen trabajo.

Creo que nuestro Dandy Comedido ha tenido buen ojo a la hora no solo de escoger su piso de soltero pero también a la hora de decidirse a decorarlo a estado muy acertado.

La gran mayoría de blogs muestran espacios decorados por mujeres así que me decidí a hacer algo diferente. Es por eso que me pareció interesante el pedirle que me dejase tomar fotos de su piso para ponerlas en mi blog.

La casa pertenecia a una familia. Ha sido segregada en cuatro pisos y dos áticos.  

Su ático cuenta con salón, comedor, cocina, un cuarto principal, una habitación de invitados y un cuarto de baño.

Las vistas y la ubicación son envidiables.  La cercanía a las zonas de ocio y zonas ajardinadas están a pocos metros.

At ease because it gives me a positive vibe. It makes me feel comfortable.

No I don’t'. I buy them on impulse.

Is there a piece that you want to acquire?

There is a piece that I want to acquire but it is going to be on my next rip to Thailand. It is a handmade tapestry that I am going to frame.

Hay una pieza que quiero adquirir pero será en mi próximo viaje a Tailandia. Es un tapiz echo a mano para enmarcar.

Which one is your statement piece?

Well there are several but the ones that I like the most are the Jacometti coffe table.
I like as well the rugs that I brought from Argentina. I have a lot of affection for them.

The Chippendale chairs an antiquity that I value a lot and then this painting. It was done by the daughter of a famous Spanish artist.

Cuál es tu pieza estrella?

Bueno hay varias pero a mí las que más me dicen la mesa de centro de salón. Diseñada por Jacometi un diseñador de New York.  También me encantan las alfombras que he traído de Argentina. Le tengo mucho cariño. También las sillas Chippendale del salón es una antigüedad que también valoro mucho y luego este cuadro que compre que es de la hija de un famoso pintor español.

I love wood above all and I like marble as well. The wood makes the place feel more cozy. 

I like materials that last in time not substitutes of the same.

Me encanta la madera noble porque transmite calidez y materiales como el mármol. Materiales que no sean un sucedáneo sino que sean materiales que perduren en el tiempo.

What made you decide to buy your place? Location, neighborhood or the attic itself?

The location was fundamental and then the chram of the house. It's not a conventional flat is very special.

It won’t fit everyone needs. It is for a very specific type of buyer.

Que es lo que te hizo decidirte a comprar tu ático? La ubicación, el vecindario o el piso en sí?

La ubicación fundamental y luego el encanto de la casa. No es un piso convencional es muy especial. No la compraría cualquiera ni esta para cualquier público.

Which is your favourite place at your house? Why?

I would say the living room without any doubt.
When I am lying down in the sofa looking up at the ceilings I feel at ease. I am delighted with my place.

Cuál es la estancia favorita de tu piso? Porque?

El salón sin ninguna duda.
 Estar tumbado en el sofá  y mirar a los techos me transmite mucha paz. Estoy encantado.

La mesa de centro del salón.

With wich piece do you identify the most and why?

I identify with all the things I have now. I love iron and the cow rugs because I identify with all wild things. He laughs.

Con cual pieza te identificas y porque?

Me identifico con todo lo que tengo ahora porque al fin y al cabo todo lo que tengo. El hierro me gusta también el cuero de las las alfombra de vaca. Me identifico con todo lo salvaje. Se rie.

Would you say that your flat makes you happy?

Yes, very happy. It makes me feel happy to get home.

Si muy feliz. Me transmite mucha felicidad cuando llego a casa.
