Christmas tree with white decoration

Mt x-mas tree is almost done.

I love the holiday season, to me is one of the best times of the year.

I love to decorate the x-mas tree. The tree never looks the same and I been thinking about doing a x-mas tree with white ornaments.

I looked all over the internet for nice ideas and pictures but I din't find much. I have seen white trees with decoration in different colors but not what it was not what I was looking for.

I started looking for nice white decorations but I was very disappointed because most of the things I found were gold, silver or very colorful.
So I decided to make my own.  The white top star and the small one that you see here were gold so I got some spray paint and I spray painted them. Problem solved : )

Bow on the back

I was happy when I saw the DIY project from Donattella

Her ideas are easy to understand and accomplish. I am sure you will enjoy making your t-shirt.

She named her project

Bow on the back

Would you like a great "wow-factor" t-shirt
with about 20 minutes of work?
You've been served!

inspiration&realisation
I made it last year and sure enough I'm going to wear it
over and over again this summer :)

It all begun with some internet browsing, and when I look for t-shirt inspiration,
the Red Valentino label is a great source. ...
Yeah, a bit excessive price tags, agreed.
This shirt was 255$... now on sale @ 178.50 on net-a-porter.com.
What a joke!

image from net-a-porter.com collage by me
I had everything on hand:
* a grey t-shirt
* some black mesh
* a small piece of black silk for the bow
* my sewing machine

click on picture to magnify

* cut the back of the t-shirt in the middle, leaving about 3" at the top uncut
* round the edges (optional, the original doesn't have round edges)
* cut a piece of black mesh in a sort of triangular shape with a round base (the two extra parts sticking out at the bottom won't be necessary if you don't round the edges)
* place the mesh inside the shirt and pin the sides onto the side of the cut
* trim the excess mesh underneath
* make a bow and pin it with a safety pin (so you can easily remove it to wash your shirt)

... probably even less then 20 minutes, right?

Soon to come bracelets

The holiday season is around and Chantal and I are getting ready to launch our Etsy shop. Our goal is to launch our line before the holidays.

Chantal has prepared the picture you see here. The picture is to give you an idea of what we are making.

If you are interested leave a comment or e-mail me. Our first collection will have around 40 pieces.

We will be opening a blog pretty soon for our joint jewelry venture dream that way it will be easier for you to check our work.

I hope you love them as much as we do!

Turban outfit inspiration

Here are some pictures that I hope can ispire you.

Turban DIY

As I mentioned before I have a love/hate relationship with turban(s) but I have to have one or two : )
I am going to make one just for fun.

Here you will find a couple of DIY videos. Now that the weekend is around the corner and if you feel creative you will just need to make one of your own:

fabric with a bit of stretch about 2 yds
needle(s)
thread
rubber band

Her video is more bohemian but still chic

Have fun!!
